This whole wheat pizza pie dough formula is simple to form, it’s naturally sweet with a small amount of honey, and it's mega-delicious.

I have used Jenna’s formula for do-it-yourself pizza pie dough created with general-purpose flour, that tastes superb. however I’ve been on a mission to chop out most refined flours from my diet this year, and are experimenting with some whole wheat alternatives once more. And once spherical once spherical of pizza-indulging — err, taste-testing — i feel I even have finally settled on my favorite formula for honey whole wheat pizza pie dough.

Ingredients :
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 2 1/3 cups white whole flour
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin vegetable oil
- 1 one/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 tablespoons meal
Instructions :
- Add heat water to the bowl of a stand mixer with the dough attachment, and sprinkle the yeast on high of the water. provide the yeast a fast stir to combine it in with the water. Then let it sit for 5-10 minute till the yeast is foamy.
- Turn the mixer onto low speed, and add bit by bit flour, honey, vegetable oil and salt. Increase speed to medium-low, and continue mixture the dough for five minutes.
- Remove dough from the blending bowl, and use your hands to form it into a ball. Grease the blending bowl (or a separate bowl) with vegetable oil or change of state spray, then place the dough ball back within the bowl and canopy it with a moist towel. Place in a very heat location (I set mine by the window) and let it rise for 30-45 minutes till the dough has nearly doubled in size.
- Preheat kitchen appliance to 450 degrees F. flip the dough onto a floured surface, and roll the dough into a 12- to 14-inch spherical for a thick-crusted pizza pie. (Or cut the dough in [*fr1], and roll it into 2 12-inch rounds for 2 skinny crust pizzas.) Sprinkle a baking sheet or pizza pie stone equally with the meal, then place the dough on the baking sheet.
- Top the dough along with your desired sauce and toppings. (And for extra-golden crust, brush the crust with an additional few teaspoons of vegetable oil or butter.)
- For thick crust, bake for 16-18 minutes, or till the crust is golden brown and therefore the toppings ar melted and broiled. For the (two) skinny crusts, bake for 14-16 minutes, or till the crust is golden brown and therefore the toppings ar melted and broiled.
- Slice and serve pizza pie heat.
